The Penn State Alumni AssociationWhat’s been happening: Came to PSU in 1965, first generation of college educated in our extended family. Brother, Jay, followed me two years later. Caught the spirit, and then went on to attend MS Hershey Medical School of Penn State, in its third graduating class. My graduating class of about 60, much different from my PSU undergraduate graduating class. Coach Joe Paterno began his head coaching tenure during my undergraduate years, so we both grew up in the PSU environs., even though obviously I do not take credit for his "development." Since Med. School, I trained as an Obstetrician Gynecologist, and in my professional career, I cared for many Penn Staters, and soon to become Penn Staters. I have enjoyed a lot of volunteer work on the Advisory Boards to the PS Alumni Assn., the Hershey Alumni Assn., and with our local branch campus in the Lehigh Valley. I have two children, a son and a daughter, now PSU grads., and three nephews also as grads. I have cousins (4) all as PSU grads. Penn State has become a major part of my life, and my kinship and connection with many organizations, and individuals within the University community, has generated many reasons to maintain my Penn State Pride. Along with my wife, we are Penn Staters to the core. |
